Wood County farmers help vitalize our economy, not only with food production but also with energy. With the increase in cutting-edge technologies such as wind, bio-diesel and ethanol production new and exciting opportunities exist for Wood County's next generation of farmers.

We need to keep and empower our current family farms while being open to new ideas that will insure agriculture's vital role in our county's bright economic future. The state's infrastructure is especially important to the business of agriculture -- from getting clean water and power to moving farm products to market in the most efficient way possible.

The Wicks family, together with a farm family in Wayne, helped create and operate the current Bowling Green Farmers' Market that runs in downtown Bowling Green from June to October. The Bowling Green Farmers' Market is situated on Main Street, across from Grounds for Thought.
